BEFORE I get started, you might not know about The Impostor Queen. SO HERE YOU GO, THE SYNOPSIS FROM GOODREADS 🙂 ENJOY!

Summary from goodreads

Sixteen-year-old Elli was only a child when the Elders of Kupari chose her to succeed the Valtia, the queen who wields infinitely powerful ice and fire magic in service of her people. The only life Elli has known has been in the temple, surrounded by luxury, tutored by magic-wielding priests, preparing for the day when the queen perishes—and the ice and fire find a new home in Elli, who is prophesied to be the most powerful Valtia to ever rule.

But when the queen dies defending the kingdom from invading warriors, the magic doesn’t enter Elli. It’s nowhere to be found.

Disgraced, Elli flees to the outlands, home of banished criminals—some who would love to see the temple burn with all its priests inside. As she finds her footing in this new world, Elli uncovers devastating new information about the Kupari magic, those who wield it, and the prophecy that foretold her destiny. Torn between her love for her people and her growing loyalty to the banished, Elli struggles to understand the true role she was meant to play. But as war looms, she must choose the right side before the kingdom and its magic are completely destroyed.

Elli has been training her whole entire life to be Valtia, Queen, who protects her people using ice and fire magic. The magic system in this world is incredible! I adore the idea of magic being passed down from Valtia to the next chosen Valtia, and then the twist.. This isn’t a spoiler, it’s in the summary, ok? ELLI ISN’T CHOSEN AS VALTIA! But who is… who will be the next Valtia? And what will they do with her now that she serves no purpose.. hmmm I wonder…. >:D

fangirling2. Elli!

Elli was a very strong main character especially considering her circumstance. She knew what she had to do, she knew right from wrong. She was strong, enjoyable and one of my favorite main characters to this date!

3. Sarah Fine!

Sarah Fine did an amaaaaazing job with world building. It’s kind of like avatar with ice wielders and fire wielders but even better (CRAZY I KNOW)! Like I said in the magic bullet point, everything was balanced and it all made sense.

4. THE DRAMA!love it all

I’m not talking about gossip drama, not here, not in The Impostor Queen >:D. This book was totally dramatic, I don’t want to ruin it but event after event had me gasping. I couldn’t flip the pages quick enough, the action, the suspense, the EVERYTHING! This book was very action packed, and a bit violet at times O_O. It’s like a very toned down Game of Thrones, like a YA GOT kinda but not really… uh it feels like GOT, ok?! The final chapters were just so… MIND BLOWING 😀

5. Character Development!

PREPARE FOR CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT OF EPIC PROPORTIONS! More or less XD. It is amazing to see a character go from meh to WUH. From mean to kind, from cool to crazy. Sarah Fine did a fineeeee job making her people change. Love. IT!

DO YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE? I hope so 😀 here is my review for The Impostor Queen if you want a more in depth idea as to how I felt about the book. SPOILER ALERT: I LOVED IT!
