Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, which you can find here! Go check them out 🙂
So, Brianna and I started watching Game of Thrones (FINALLY)! Mostly because Lena Heady was coming to a Comic Con near as and we thought, ‘hey, why not watch it and see if we like it?’ Because she was coming xD and we did, after we watched all of season 5. We went baack and started at season 1, and now we’re on season 3 episode 2. So no spoilers for season 4 or 6 xD
Anyways, here’s the reasons why we love these shows thus far.
If you haven’t seen up to season 3 of Game of Thrones, be prepared for spoilers.
1. The fantasyish stuff? If that’s what you call it…
Like magicish stuff, dragons and dreams with a three eyed raven. Oh and the Direwolf, I know they aren’t like crazy fantasy, but they’re super cute and look super soft too.
2. Everyone’s in danger, no one is safe and there are so many FEEELLSSS.
Like in season one or two, I think, we’re Tyrion talks about how he fell in love with this girl and it turned out she was payed to pretend. That. Broke. My. Heart. So much. Among other things like the final episode of season 1. Yeah.
3. LOVE the ACTORS
There really isn’t much to elaborate on this one. They’re just good actors and actresses 🙂
4. The book is actually really good.
Brianna and I both thought we wouldn’t like the book but it’s actually pretty good. I think we might like it more because we’ve seen the TV show so we know who’s who and what’s going on.
5. Jon Snow, Robb Stark and Ned Stark…Okay all the Starks really…
6. Tyrion and his witty remarks about wanting to keep his head, and his sass in general is so amazing. He’s one of my favorites on the show and in the book 🙂
Do you need some ice for that burn? Yeah? I thought so.
7. Sansa and The Hound are PERFECT together, if you ignore age difference. We seriously think he loves/likes her.
Maybe not, I dunno. They look closer in age in the TV show than in the book. He saved her from doing stupid things a few times, he even offered to help her escape. An enemy wouldn’t do that, just saying.
8. Daenerys Targaryen and her dragons
Need we say more?
9. The QUOTESSSSSSSS
“Never forget what you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armour yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.”
I mean, how great is that quote right there? That moments was my FAVORITE in the TV show, thus far, as well as the book (even though I’m not that far xD)
“The man who passes the sentence should swing the sword. If you would take a man’s life, you owe it to him to look into his eyes and hear his final words. And if you cannot bear to do that, then perhaps the man does not deserve to die.”
I think I see more foreshadowing in the book than in the TV show. I think that might be because book 1, so far, follows the TV show almost exactly. And rereading it made me realize how many hints there are as to what happens in the future.
Anyways, do you like Game of Thrones? Brianna and I like it so far, though sometimes it can be a bit over the top (but that’s fine because we can just straightforward over those parts xD) Who’s your favorite character? What’s your favorite TV show?
