Beyond the Red Review! (It Was BEYOND Amazing :D)

5/5

LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING. This book. This BOOK is literal perfection. No joke, I’m not even kidding right now, GUYS IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY PURCHASED A COPY DOOOOO IT. What are you waiting for? Beyond the Red is FANTASTIC.

I was able to read this book thanks to Nori (readwritelove28!) and her Sunday Street Team, SST! Thanks to Edelweiss and the awesome, sweet Nori :). This in no way changes my review of this book.

What I Liked

The Beginning of Beyond the Red.

THE BEGINNING. Let me tell you. This whole entire book was hard to put down, I read it all almost in a day, I was just distracted by video games, Legend of Zelda is my soft spot. From the very first sentence Beyond the Red manages to hook and hold your attention until the very end.

THE ENDING.

OH MY GOSH THE ENDING WAS SOMETHING ELSE. It. Was. AMAZING. When is the next book? 2017? I CAN’T WAIT *cries*

Characters
The characters are so lovely. I wanted to squish them all in a big group hug… except the baddies, never the baddies, unless they are Loki. Always Loki. The characters in this book were phenomenal and memorable. True, the main guy was buff and tough but why not. I know diversity and stuff, but Eros is a warrior, he is a solider, a guard, a protector. He needs to be in top shape to survive, otherwise he could die O_O. I don’t want Eros to die! Also, the main Princess was AWESOME, she was like an alien Katniss (or Triss because I read Divergent, not the Hunger Games *hides*). Anyways, the characters are something to love in this book. Kora reminds me a Ton of Jasmine haha, and she has a super cool cat that I want to hug.

Story

Aliens. Death. Attempted Murder. Violent Brothers.

Oh. My Gosh. The story was great. Beyond the Red rotates points of views, between Kora and Eros. Both chapters manage to be different and incredibly interesting, the rotation is a smooth transition and helps move along the story. It’s so much fun reading what the characters are going through inside and out, it’s fantastic. Like I said above, this story will GRIP your attention and never let go… Now only if the next book was out… Also, I NEVER guessed the ending/twists in this book. Wonderfullllll.

What I Didn’t Like

Instant Love/ Love Triangle

There was a case of instant love… kind of, ish. I’m not a huge fan of that, I love reading characters who go from hating, or disliking, or feel nothing about each other and seeing them slowly fall in love :D. You know, if they fall in love that is. Beyond the Red has a case of Instant Love and a Love Triangle ish, I’m not going to explain the ish since I don’t want it to spoil you, but let me tell you again! The love in this book does nothing to draw attention away from the story, and it is adorable seeing Kora kick Eros’s butt every once in a while XD. And that has nothing to do with the romance buuut I love that part.

In a Nusthell

I’m not saying anything other then, BUY THIS BOOK NOW!

  2. I’ve heard so many good things about this book! I can’t wait to get my hands on it, and I’ve heard that the characters are pretty great. 😀 And the setting is pretty original as well. I’m trying to get more into science fiction, so hopefully this will be a good start! I can enjoy a love triangle if it’s well done, so maybe the romance will be okay. Glad you liked this one!
