Top Ten Tuesday – Fairytales (Because Who Doesn’t Love ‘Em?)

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the Broke and Bookish you can find them HERE~

We all (or at least, some of us) know about Fairytales. Cinderella, Snow White, Rumpelstiltskin, Ariel and all that jazz! Disney has made SO many of them popular, and for good reason XD I adore those movies! Frozen, Tangled, Beauty and the Best :)! So wonderful. Anywho, this weeks TTT is all about Fairytales, ‘cuz we love ’em!

* All covers are links to the books goodreads page 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 READ AWAY!*

My favorite Fairytale Retellings~

These are my favorite fairy tale retellings so far 🙂

Cinder is fabulous, enough said right XD? It is a Cinderella retelling but so much more! Scarlet is about Red Riding Hood, Cress is Rapunzel and Winter is Snow White (as far as I can tell :D!) and it is science fiction and awesome and ROCKS!

Spelled is a Wizard of Oz retelling but like Cinder is much more than is appears. Spelled is like a HUGE mashup of a TON of fairy tales and I LOVED it :D!

A Court of Thorns and Roses is well, book one is Beauty and the Beast. From what I hear book two will be Hades and Persephone 🙂 I AM SO EXCITED! If you don’t know, Sarah J. Maas is one of my FAVORITE authors.

The Ugly Stepsister is also a Cinderella story. It’s about a girl who accidentally breaks a story book and has to put it back together! She isn’t Cinderella but is her ugly stepsister 🙂

Sisters Red was the first fairy tale retelling I ever read, I think! Anyways, I just adore Jackson Pearce and the world they created, with the crazy werewolf fighter ❤ so awesome!

Books I really want to read~

the shadow queen the stars turned away winter ash and bramblemechanica

* Need I explain myself on these XD?*

Fairy tales I wish there were more of~

🌟 King Arthur. Wait, does that count? I would LOVE it if someone would make an awesome YA King Arthur retelling, we need more of these :D!

🌟 Red Riding Hood, she rocks, he could rock, just saying :)! Imagine more of these craaazy stories!

🌟 PETER PAN! Can we ever get enough of the boy who never grows up and his Lost Boys? I think not.

🌟 Beauty and the Beast. Please and PLEASE!

What Fairy Tales are you crazy about? What ones would you like to see?

  1. I adore Beauty and the Beast! Monisah and I used to watch the movie all the time when we were younger! I have just finished Cinder and I fell in love with the story and I cant wait to carry on with the series! I think Sisters Red was the first fairy tale retelling that I ever read too! Although I read it a while back and I cant really remember what happens… I think its in need for a re-read! A great post girls! x
