The Moth In The Mirror (Splintered Novella #1.5) Review

2.5/5

What is better than a re-telling of Alice in Wonderland? Nothing! This is exactly, well close, to what The Splintered series is. It’s a retelling of Alice in Wonderland with a twist, darker creatures, wonderful characters, and nice world building all smashed together into one nice piece of cake. With this short Novella you can enter the minds of characters from the series itself. Both of which, if I recall correctly from what I’ve seen from others, are very well loved characters. Human Jeb and magical Morpheus.

The book is only five chapters long, three which take place from within Jebs memories during book one. It’s basically what he’s doing when Alyssa was by herself. Reading the story through his point of view is nice and interesting. The Moth in the Mirror doesn’t add much to the story, other than Jebs thoughts, and Morpheus’ but it’s still a nice read and the writing is good too!
