Angelina’s is To Kill A Mockingbird

The unforgettable novel of a childhood in a sleepy Southern town and the crisis of conscience that rocked it, To Kill A Mockingbird became both an instant bestseller and a critical success when it was first published in 1960. It went on to win the Pulitzer Prize in 1961 and was later made into an Academy Award-winning film, also a classic.

Compassionate, dramatic, and deeply moving, To Kill A Mockingbird takes readers to the roots of human behavior – to innocence and experience, kindness and cruelty, love and hatred, humor and pathos. -goodreads.com

Both books are different from the general world of books I guess you could say. While there is nothing wrong with the general character sometimes it’s nice to have something different! What are some of your favorite diverse books? I’d love to hear about them and read them. Feel free to comment below.

  1. I really want to read Cinder, too. I was just gifted a Barnes & Noble giftcard as a birthday gift, so I think I may just grab a copy. Do you feel it is worth the money?

    1. Oh yeah! Okay, I will be totally honest and say I liked Cinder but it wasn’t my favorite. When I read Scarlet, book 2 in the Lunar Chronicles OH MY GOSH did the series get A-MAZING! Cinder was good, but it keeps getting better :)! You should give it a shot and if you do, please let me know how you felt about it!

      1. I’ll be sure to do that! I generally don’t go for books that are part of a series, but I think I may need to make an exception for this one!

      3. I picked up Cinder, and I’ll let you know when I read it. 🙂 I have some books to read for review, and then I’ll dive in. ^_^
